The (pathetic) Bachelor

I don't actually know what year did this 'game' take place. Probably 2 3 years back. I watched the second last episode just now, before this bachelor named Alex picked a girl to be his wife. Well, they're probably married and have kids now but those who already knew the ending, please don't spoil my 'excitement'.

So, what about this fella AND this show? It's about a multimillionaire who was still SINGLE (herm..), HANDSOME (not bad lar...), and most of all was in search for The One to spend his lifetime with. Herm... searching for the wife through this way? It IS that bad huh? Oh well, his way...

I didn't follow the game from the beginning, only till there were 15 girls left to choose. Ain't gonna comment on that one, only THIS particular episode they aired today. There was this girl whom I kinda like. Shannon is the name. She's pretty, a brunette and most importantly, she got BRAIN. What I meant here was her logical sense and strong principle which I really admire. Too bad, she didn�t get to be the final 2.

Shannon is different from those other girls participated in the game. She holds firmly to everything that she believes is right. She didn�t treat Alex like the others did, i.e. being a total hypocrite by acting REALLY REALLY nice, showed fake enthusiasm, bla bla bla� (aktiviti biasa apabila seorang perempuan itu nak menarik perhatian seorang lelaki yang KAYA...it�s like �PICK ME!! PICK ME!! PICK ME!!!�) . Of course she showed all her interest but it's restricted only to the level of getting to know him better. No kissing involved and no intimate touches allowed. Alex seemed to understand and respect this at the beginning but as he spent more time with her in every session, he began to see that there's no way that Shannon�s gonna allow him to get closer, physically and emotionally, not after her confirmed position as his wife-to-be�and there�s no way he�s gonna discover more about her with such condition. So, that left him with none other choice than letting her go and proceed with the other 2. Too bad lah...

"I only want a guy who accepts me the way I am. And I thought Alex is the one but he wants me to be something that I'm not" (the quote might be constructed in a different way but the message is EXACTLY the same!)

Basically, I don�t blame him for not choosing her. He wasn�t up to taking any risk by keeping Shannon to the final round, when his perfect match was actually the one he decided to let go. Takpela, dah tade jodoh�

My evaluations of this show are mostly negative. First, that guy was having DAMN GREAT time with those 25 girls. It�s like going to a toy shop and picking the action figures that you want. Just like that! Second, he didn�t have to do anything to woo them. All he did was buat dono and acted all macho and cool and let the girls mengada-ngada kan diri mereka supaya dipilih to the next round. Third, those in the game, geez, tell ya� were DESPERADOS! Macam dah takde laki-laki lain yang lagi best! Ooops, I seemed to forget the fact that this guy is a FILTHY RICH bachelor� Patutla� *wink*
